Some of the most heard reasons of why you hate your job:
1. Not Challenging: You are not challenged in a role, it's the same work day after day after day. when at the the end of the day you think what you did the whole day doesn't count and it was just a waste.
2. Too much Challenge: Some others may be having too much challenges, where they are overworked and understaffed.
3. Appreciation: You are not appreciated. Your give your hard work, blood and sweat, and your boss thinks you are on vacation.
4. Utilization: You are incorrectly utilized, or have limited opportunities to advance or grow within the organization. Either You have hit a glass ceiling or someone above has boxed you into a level from which you think you cannot rise.
5. Priorities: As we grow older and gain more knowledge/experience we find that our priorities have changed from that of an earlier age. It was all about getting that first chance, that big jump, but it quickly changes into further growth. While challenges were important earlier, job security has become more important now.
6. Wrong Job: You suck at your job, This was not where you should have been! Your are unprepared, untrained, or unskilled and even the basic elements of that job cause you stress.
7. Wrong people: People around you suck. Your boss is a bully, your teammates are slothful procrastinators, Boss Bullying direct reports, spreading lies about people while taking credit for their success, yelling and swearing...
8. Sub-optimized Organizational structure, workplace conditions, etc adding upto negative reinforcements, internal competitiveness, and a lack of collaboration work ethic. Everyone is at everyone's throat, intrigue, politics and power games rule the roost. Protecting your turf is more important than performance and success.
9. No leadership or guidance, and your career is just drifting away!
10. Contribution to Organization: You are in a department or region which contributes little to the organization, and therefore everybody has forgotten about you! You're not relevant in the larger organization.
