International Schools in Nairobi, Kenya

This post is for those expats in Nairobi, who are going through the drill of scouting for good International schools in Nairobi... schools either offering courses in International Baccalaureate / IGCSE/ British or American curriculum. I spent considerable time researching and visiting and surveying schools in and around Westlands.

It;s also for parents who want more all round development. I am biased by the location of my residence, hence not all schools are covered, Just sharing my research for Grade 1. I am willing to update this post as I get more information...

Standard Disclaimers apply. Assumptions have been made liberally. Please do not depend on my research for your decision. Get in touch with the school for details...

Having said that, I welcome your comments/ suggestions/  updates/ corrections. I'll try to incorporate as much as possible on the post, to make it most useful to readers.

Please refer the list of schools I considered here. This is editable for your comments or updates: :

Nairobi School Research (Costs).  Editable file.. let me know if there are any cahllenges.

1. Let me admit that most suggestions I received as an Indian were of Oshwal, Premier and certain unorthodox folks suggesting Aga Khan academy. All these are community schools, and I was looking for more cosmopolitan environment. I believe the stress on first 2 is on academics. There was a perception that Premier is more cosmo than Oshwal.

2. Aga Khan is IB, is affordable compared to the schools it competes with. However, admissions are difficult, as far as perceptions go.

3. I loved ISK. And Peopni. But they're expensive. Braeburn is equally expensive, but the school is smaller. ISK spreads across 50 acres, and everything you want in a school is there. I'd rate it the best.

4. I've heard good thing about Nairobi International School, but yet to visit. They were on a term break last time I visited. Seemed small from over the closed gate. In fact I kept missing it on James Gichuru, and had t rely on my GPS!
